The Crown Fits: Emma Mary Tiglao's Triumphant Return as Miss Grand Philippines 2025

After a long and celebrated journey in the world of pageantry, Emma Mary Tiglao of Pampanga has finally secured a crown that's all her own. On Sunday, August 24, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, the 30-year-old model, host, and news anchor was proclaimed Miss Grand Philippines 2025. Her victory places her squarely in the spotlight as she prepares to represent the country at the Miss Grand International 2025 pageant in Thailand this October.

Emma's win is particularly meaningful as she was crowned by her predecessor, Christine Juliane Opiaza, who made history as the Philippines' first-ever Miss Grand International. The pressure for a back-to-back win is high, but Emma seems ready for the challenge. In a post-coronation interview, she confidently stated, "If someone asks me, are you ready? I'm born ready!"

This victory is the culmination of a decade-long pageant career. A true veteran, Emma has competed in a number of prestigious national pageants, including Binibining Pilipinas in 2014 and 2019 (where she was crowned Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental), and Miss World Philippines 2015. She also represented the Philippines at Miss Intercontinental 2019 in Egypt, where she finished in the Top 20.

In her heartfelt social media post after the win, Emma shared her gratitude and a powerful message about the true spirit of pageantry. "I hope this moment reminds us that pageantry should never be about hate or tearing someone down," she wrote. "Words are powerful enough to inspire hope or cause pain. Let's choose to uplift, to encourage, and to celebrate each other's dreams."

Margarette Briton of Bicol Region and Beatriz Angela Ocampo of Rizal Province were named first and second runners-up, respectively.

As Emma Mary Tiglao embarks on this next chapter, the Philippines rallies behind its new queen, a veteran who exemplifies resilience, grace, and the power of a positive message.
