From Kinshasa to the Universe: Déborah Djema Crowned Miss Universe DR Congo 2025

A new queen has been crowned in the heart of Africa! Déborah Djema was officially named Miss Universe DR Congo 2025 on Friday, August 22, in a grand ceremony held at the Cultural and Arts Center in Kinshasa.

The 26-year-old international strategic consultant is set to carry the hopes and dreams of the Democratic Republic of the Congo as she heads to Thailand to represent her nation at the highly anticipated Miss Universe 2025 pageant this November.

Crowned by her predecessor, Ilda Amani (who competed at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico), Déborah brings a unique and powerful story to the Miss Universe stage. A graduate of the European Business School Paris with a master's degree in digital business and e-commerce, she is a polyglot and a woman of diverse experiences. Orphaned at a young age, Déborah grew up navigating various countries and cultures, a journey that has clearly shaped her into the resilient and driven woman she is today.

But her achievements don't stop there. Déborah is a former Miss Africa France winner and the founder of several projects dedicated to empowering African women. Her platform focuses on leveraging education and entrepreneurship to create a brighter future for women across the continent.

With her remarkable background, intellect, and passion for making a difference, Déborah Djema is more than a beauty queen; she is an inspiring representative of a new generation of African leaders. The world will be watching as she brings her strength and grace to the Miss Universe stage.
