A new queen has been crowned in Tanzania, and she is making history. Naisae Yona, a 28-year-old economic graduate, mother, and entrepreneur from Dar es Salaam, was named Miss Universe Tanzania 2025 in a spectacular national competition on Saturday, August 23.

Held at The Super Dome in Masaki, the event was a celebration of beauty, intelligence, and purpose. Notably, this year's competition was hosted by the iconic former Miss Universe, Zozibini Tunzi of South Africa, adding an international flair to the momentous occasion. Naisae was crowned by her predecessor, Judith Ngusa, who represented Tanzania at Miss Universe 2024.

Naisae's victory is particularly significant as she is one of the few mothers to ever win a national title in the history of the pageant. She will now represent her country at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand this November, taking with her a prize package that includes 10 million TZS and a new car from Hyundai Tanzania.

As an entrepreneur, Naisae is the founder of several companies, including NEY HAIR, Forever Frames TZ X SA, NEY Homes, and Bladed-Shaded. Her platform is dedicated to empowering young women and youth through entrepreneurship, teaching them how to be self-reliant and manage money sustainably. She believes in inspiring others to trust their own abilities and create their own success.

The competition also saw other remarkable women receive recognition. Celline Mollel and Shifa Adam were named the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Brenda Callixte and Rania Khalid completed the Top 5.

With her powerful story, business acumen, and compassionate advocacy, Naisae Yona is more than just a beauty queen—she is a role model ready to make a significant impact on the global stage.
