The 21-year-old artist and former Miss Universe delegate secured the title in Bolivia, marking the second win for her island nation.
A Night of Cultural Celebration in Santa Cruz
SANTA CRUZ, Bolivia – In a vibrant celebration of Hispanic heritage, Kimberly de Boer of Curacao was crowned Reina Hispanoamericana 2026 on Saturday, February 21. The 21-year-old artist and painter from Willemstad outshone 27 other global contestants to claim the title during the pageant's 34th annual edition.
De Boer was crowned by her predecessor, the outgoing queen Dia Maté of the Philippines, following an evening that highlighted Hispanic language, culture, and tradition.
A Historic Victory for Curacao
With this win, Kimberly becomes the second woman from Curacao to hold the Reina Hispanoamericana title, following in the footsteps of Evalina Van Putten, who won in 2011.
A seasoned veteran in the pageant circuit, the new queen is well-acquainted with the international stage. She previously held the title of Miss Universe Curacao and represented her country at the Miss Universe 2024 competition held in Mexico.

The Top 13 finalists also included standout representatives from Bolivia (Eugenia Redin), Canada (Malayika Kwizera), Ecuador (Ami Ocampo), Panama (Anayansi De Gracía), and the Philippines (Beatriz Mclelland).

Reina Hispanoamericana remains a unique fixture in the pageantry world, specifically dedicated to honoring the ties that bind Hispanic nations together. Kimberly de Boer’s background as a painter and her previous experience in high-stakes competitions like Miss Universe positioned her as a frontrunner throughout the two-week event in Bolivia.
