The 18-year-old multi-talented Filipino-American swept the special awards and is set to represent the Philippines on the global stage.

A Star is Born at Mall of Asia Arena

PASAY CITY, Philippines – In a night defined by talent and purpose, Asia Rose Simpson of Quezon City was officially crowned Miss World Philippines 2026 on Tuesday, February 3. The grand finale, held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, saw the teenage powerhouse emerge victorious from a competitive field of candidates to succeed outgoing queen Krishnah Gravidez, who notably finished in the Top 8 of Miss World 2025.

Simpson’s victory was a definitive "sweep," as she also secured three of the pageant's most prestigious special awards:

  • Best in Swimsuit

  • Best in Talent

  • Beauty with a Purpose (The heart of the Miss World organization)

From New Mexico to National Titleholder

Born in Hobbs, New Mexico, to a Filipino father and an American mother, the new Miss World Philippines is a true polymath—excelling as a dancer, author, singer, and professional model.

She is no stranger to the pressure of the spotlight. Simpson previously held the title of Miss New Mexico Teen USA 2023 and went on to represent the "Land of Enchantment" at Miss Teen USA 2023, where her charisma earned her the Miss Congeniality award. This blend of international experience and artistic versatility solidified her as the judges' top choice.

The Court and Final Standings

The 2026 court is completed by two exceptional runners-up:

  • First Princess: Anne De Mesa (Manila)

  • Second Princess: Gabrielle Fuentes Galapia (Pampanga)

The Top 10 featured a diverse group of representatives, including Nicole Kristine Lorzano (Batangas), Jayvee Lyn Loreto (Davao Region), and international delegates Marizza Delgado (New York) and Margarethe Elize Romano (United Kingdom), alongside standout finalists from Ifugao, Rizal, and Sultan Kudarat.

Rounding out the Top 15 were delegates from Bukidnon, Iligan, Naga, Negros Island Region, and Zamboanga City.

Looking Toward the 73rd Miss World

With the national crown now secured, Asia Rose Simpson begins her intensive training to represent the Philippines at the 73rd Miss World competition. While the date and venue for the international pageant are yet to be announced, expectations are high for Simpson to continue the Philippines' strong momentum in the "Beauty with a Purpose" movement.
